A friend.

Sometimes when life is chaotic and full and insane, when your mind never stops bouncing from thing to thing that could stress you out (but you're carefully choosing not to let them;-), it's so comforting to have that friend that just....de-complicates everything.

That friend that listens, maybe makes a small joke, and helps you to see that a few mole hills do not equal a mountain, is so very valuable.

It's easy to lose focus of the "big picture" and get caught up in the web of detail and forget our purpose and our direction. We get tangled and all twisted about, and we shout, 'I'm drowning!' while standing in 2" of water. And this friend, this friend gives us a little towel and tells us to walk across the bridge already.

Thank God for this friend.

  1. I'm excited that you're blogging. Can't wait to read about what's going on down in the People's Republic of Texas. More than glad to count you as a friend...lets keep it that way! :) lol.
